How much fabric do I need to make a pajama set?
Amount of fabric needed: 3 yards of 44″ wide fabric will work with most sizes. If your pajamas are more than 20″ at the widest point when folded in half, you may have to cut only one layer of fabric at a time for each half leg.
Lay the bottom part of the leg you just cut off onto the other leg matching up the bottom edge of the legs. Cut off the second leg. My friend thought these would be cute with the cuff taken off the bottom and put back on the shortened length. So I cut them off leaving about a 1/2 inch above the black trim.
Are pajamas considered pants?
Traditional pajamas consist of a shirt-and-trousers combination made of soft fabric, such as flannel or lightweight cotton. In colloquial speech, pajamas are often called PJs or jammies.
